Back in 2019, I was running a small barbershop in downtown Morris Plains. Every week, I'd get calls from young folks wanting to learn the craft. Not just the basics you'd pick up in a standard cosmetology program, but the real artistry behind classic cuts and precision shaving.

That's when it hit me — there was a gap. Sure, you could learn to cut hair anywhere, but understanding the soul of barbering? The difference between a good fade and a masterpiece? That takes something more.

So we started small. Weekend workshops in my shop, teaching traditional techniques alongside modern tools. Word spread fast. Within two years, we had a waiting list of aspiring barbers who wanted real training, not just certification.
