Marcellus Chen
Lead InstructorBrings 18 years of barbering experience from Newark's downtown district. Licensed master barber who has trained over 150 students. Specializes in classic cuts, fade techniques, and straight razor work.
Donatello Rivers
Modern TechniquesFormer shop owner with 12 years in the industry. Expert in contemporary styling, beard grooming, and business management. Helps students understand both craft and commerce sides of barbering.
18-Month Training Timeline
Foundation Phase
Months 1-4Master the fundamentals of barbering through theoretical study and basic practical exercises. Learn safety protocols, sanitation standards, and tool handling.

Skill Development
Months 5-10Focus on advanced techniques including fades, texturing, and precision cutting. Practice on mannequins and volunteer clients under close supervision.

Professional Practice
Months 11-16Work with paying clients in our student salon while receiving guidance. Build speed, consistency, and customer service skills needed for professional practice.
